Registered Behavior Technician - Richmond, Virginia

As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will play a vital role in our mission to provide compassionate, flexible, and collaborative in-home and community-based ABA therapy. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate RBTs to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients.
About the Role:
As an RBT at New Patterns ABA VA, you will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans for clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 therapy to clients in-home and community-based settings
- Implementing individualized ABA treatment plans designed by a BCBA
- Collecting and recording data on client progress and behaviors
- Assisting in the development of behavior intervention strategies
- Participating in team meetings and training sessions
- Maintaining a positive and supportive relationship with clients and their families
- Adhering to ethical guidelines and standards of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
Qualifications:
We are seeking applicants with the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current RBT certification through the BACB (preferred)
- Reliable transportation
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities (preferred)
- Flexibility, empathy, patience, and a solution-oriented, client-centered approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, timeliness, and effective time management skills
