Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Substitute Preschool & Childcare Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team! Duties
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional development.
- Foster a safe and welcoming classroom environment through effective behavior management and classroom management techniques.
- Support children’s individual needs by collaborating with special education staff and applying early intervention strategies when necessary.
- Assist with curriculum development to ensure activities align with childhood development standards and educational goals.
- Engage children in hands-on activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and critical thinking.
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress, behavior, and welfare.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, health regulations, and childcare licensing requirements.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and classroom management strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson plans.
- Experience supporting children with special needs a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, parents, and caregivers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom environment while fostering positive behavior management techniques.
- Certification in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous; however, relevant classroom experience can substitute for formal credentials.
