Responsibilities
- Assist in meal preparation and food service, ensuring timely and quality delivery of dishes
- Follow safety standards in food handling, storage, and production to maintain a safe environment
- Support menu planning by preparing ingredients and assisting with recipe execution
- Use proper knife skills and slicing techniques to prepare vegetables, meats, and other ingredients efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, adhering to food safety management protocols
- Contribute to catering events by preparing and serving food with professionalism and attention to detail
- Support the dietary department by understanding specific dietary needs and assisting in meal customization when necessary
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service is preferred
- Knowledge of safety standards in food production and handling practices is essential
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, knife skills, slicing techniques, and general culinary practices
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and food industry best practices
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
