Job Description
Behind Every Door is seeking a friendly, organized, and service-oriented Front Desk
Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our Cedar Crest Community Center. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming environment for all visitors, community members, and partners. The ideal candidate will be skilled in customer service, administrative support, and community engagement, ensuring smooth daily operations at the front desk.
Key Responsibilities
● Guest Reception & Hospitality: Warmly welcome all visitors, members, and partners,
creating a positive and inviting atmosphere. Provide directions and information about the
center’s programs and services.
● Tour Coordination: Organize and conduct engaging tours of the community center for
potential members, partners, and guests, showcasing the facility’s features and
programs.
● Membership Support: Assist community members with the registration process,
including signing up for memberships, programs, and events. Maintain accurate
membership records and provide support with updates or inquiries.
● Administrative Tasks: Manage phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries
professionally. Handle mail, deliveries, and maintain an organized front desk area.
● Scheduling & Room Coordination: Coordinate meeting spaces, including the Board
Room, ensuring proper setup for events, meetings, and activities.
● Data Entry & Reporting: Track visitor attendance and other operational relevant data to
support reporting and compliance requirements.
● Community Engagement: Serve as a point of contact for community members seeking
resources or information. Provide referrals to appropriate staff or programs within the
center.
● Security Awareness: Collaborate with the security team to maintain a safe
environment, reporting any concerns promptly.
● General Office Support: Provide administrative assistance to the operations team as
needed, supporting special projects and community events.
● Assume other duties as assigned
Qualifications
● High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in customer service is
a plus.
● 3+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, or administrative support roles.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, approachable demeanor.
● Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic office equipment; familiarity with Slack is a
plus.
● Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
● Experience working in diverse communities is highly valued.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
This position requires regular on-site work at the Cedar Crest Community Center, with
occasional evening and weekend hours for operational activities and community events. In
addition, you may be required to assume other duties as assigned.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
