About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector with machining and/or fabrication inspection experience to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for dimensional inspections, PPAP documentation, blueprint interpretation, GD&T inspection, and maintaining accurate quality records. The ideal candidate has experience completing full PPAP layouts and ensuring products meet customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional inspections and complete PPAP layouts, including ballooned print reviews and feature verification
- Inspect machined and fabricated components to engineering drawings, GD&T, and weld symbols
- Verify incoming, in-process, and final products meet quality and customer requirements
- Document nonconformances and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Partner with production and manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues
- Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready inspection records
Required Qualifications
- Experience inspecting machined and/or fabricated parts
- Experience completing PPAP documentation and dimensional reports
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings
- Strong math skills and understanding of tolerances
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with AWS and ASME welding codes
- Experience with Faro Arm or portable CMM equipment
- Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined and welded components
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
