osition Summary
Cam-Ful Industries is seeking an experienced Mechanical/HVAC Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial mechanical construction projects from pre-construction through project completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, mechanical construction, project scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and client relations.
This role requires a highly organized professional who can manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage commercial and industrial HVAC and mechanical construction projects from award through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and manpower plans.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
- Review project drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Track project costs and profitability while maintaining budget objectives.
- Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and company standards.
- Manage procurement of equipment and materials to support project schedules.
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues affecting cost, schedule, or quality.
- Review and approve subcontractor invoices and project billings.
- Support field teams with technical guidance and project coordination.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist with project forecasting, reporting, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience in mechanical construction and HVAC projects.
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, piping, ductwork, controls, and mechanical equipment.
- Experience managing projects ranging from small service upgrades to large-scale commercial installations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience managing project budgets, cost controls, and forecasting.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- PMP certification preferred but not required.
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Viewpoint, or similar construction management software.
- Previous experience managing industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, educational, or large commercial projects.
