Job Summary:
- This job would be responsible for the Full Material Disclosures (FMD’s) going to customers and managing suppliers and internal containment activities as well as other general quality engineering activities.
Job Duties:
- Collect information needed for Full Material Disclosure in IMDS system or similar systems
- Assist in Value Stream Mapping activities with Purchasing
- Verify or assist in containment activities – Quality Alerts, quarantining material, setting up internal and external sorts.
- Review and Approve Supplier PPAP’s and IMDS submissions
- Verify Supplier CQI’s and certifications were completed on time.
- Incoming receiving inspections
- Assist rest of department when gaps are identified
Minimum Qualifications:
- General understanding of what is required for Full Material Disclosure
- IATF Certification
- AIAG core tools – Process Flow, PFMEA, and Control plan
- 3 years of Quality Engineering level experience or equivalent
- Experience with Rubber and Plastic products
- Flexible mindset to adjust to business needs
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- IMDS experience
- Quality Experience in automotive
- VDA 6.3 certification
- ISO 140001 Certification
- ASQ Quality Engineering Certification
- Familiarity with SAP
Working Conditions:
- Job will primarily require either sitting or standing at a desk for long hours.
- Job requires infrequent lifting of 10-25 lbs with occasional lifting/moving up to 50 lbs which could be below waist height due to palletization.
- Constant standing or walking is expected as inspection occurs. Inspections can include usage of hands, arms, or other tools to reach into parts to feel for objects or measure. Employee will occasionally be expected to be able to step up or down steps, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, or hear instructions or directions.
- The employee must demonstrate an acceptable level of vision acuity, as evidenced by the initial employment physical to safely operate assigned equipment, and accurately read measuring devices. Correctable vision shall not be less than that required for a Michigan Driver's License.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
