Mental Health Therapist – Psychiatry Practice

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Mental Health Therapist to join our outpatient psychiatry practice. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with psychiatric providers in a supportive, patient-centered environment dedicated to improving mental health outcomes.
Position Overview
The Mental Health Therapist will provide counseling, therapeutic interventions, patient education, and care coordination for individuals experiencing a variety of mental health conditions. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering high-quality care and fostering meaningful therapeutic relationships.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Experience working in behavioral health, psychiatry, or a related mental health setting preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and behavioral health best practices
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and assist in developing individualized treatment plans
- Provide supportive counseling, psychoeducation, and therapeutic interventions
- Monitor patient progress and document clinical encounters accurately and timely
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals
- Assist with care coordination, referrals, and community resource connections
- Promote patient engagement, recovery, and overall wellness
- Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, ethical standards, and practice policies
