Flooring Estimator – Occupied Single-Family Rental Homes
Salary: $50,000 per year
Schedule: Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays as needed

We are seeking an experienced Flooring Estimator to inspect, measure, and prepare flooring estimates for occupied single-family rental homes. This position will also assist with multifamily property assessments as needed. The ideal candidate must be professional, communicate clearly, and work respectfully around residents, personal belongings, furniture, and pets.
Responsibilities
- Visit occupied single-family rental homes to perform flooring assessments.
- Assist with flooring assessments at multifamily properties as needed.
- Measure flooring areas and prepare accurate estimates using MeasureSquare.
- Inspect carpet, sheet vinyl, laminate, luxury vinyl plank, transitions, stairs, and related flooring components.
- Identify soft, damaged, uneven, bouncy, or unstable subfloor conditions.
- Determine whether flooring requires repair or partial/ full replacement.
- Provide repair solutions.
- Take clear photos, videos, measurements, and detailed notes.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with residents.
- Identify furniture or personal items that may need to be moved or disassembled before installation.
- Complete multiple property assessments throughout the workday.
- Travel throughout the assigned service area using the company-provided vehicle.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in occupied single-family rental homes is required.
- Prior flooring estimating, flooring installation, property maintenance, or construction experience is required.
- MeasureSquare or similar software experience is a plus.
- Must be able to learn and navigate online client portals.
- Must be able to identify subfloor issues and understand how they affect flooring installations.
- Knowledge of carpet, sheet vinyl, laminate, and luxury vinyl plank flooring.
- Must be able to accurately measure rooms, stairs, closets, and other flooring areas.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be comfortable entering occupied homes and interacting with residents.
- Must be fluent in English; bilingual candidates are a plus.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Must be dependable, organized, professional, and able to work independently.
- Must be available Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays.
