Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and maintain floor care standards to ensure pristine surfaces
- Manage heavy lifting tasks involving linen carts, cleaning supplies, and equipment with proper manual handling techniques
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in good working condition and used efficiently to maximize productivity
- Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures to document room status, report maintenance issues, and update cleaning logs
- Respond promptly to guest requests or complaints related to cleanliness or room amenities with professionalism and courtesy
Experience
- Prior custodial or housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is highly preferred
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning methods, sanitation standards, and hotel emergency procedures is advantageous
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management systems and safety protocols enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly while maintaining a safe work environment
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guest interactions
- Experience with vacuuming, floor cleaning techniques, and the use of cleaning equipment ensures high-quality results
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
