Duties
- Oversee all store operations including sales, customer service, inventory management, and cash handling to ensure seamless daily performance.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of employees through effective training, coaching, and performance management strategies.
- Manage employee scheduling, payroll processing, and recruiting efforts to maintain a high-performing team aligned with store goals.
- Monitor inventory levels, perform stock control, and coordinate purchasing to optimize product availability and merchandising standards.
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for transactions, pricing adjustments, and sales tracking while maintaining accurate bookkeeping records.
- Implement marketing initiatives and community outreach programs to increase store visibility and customer engagement.
- Enforce safety policies, ensure compliance with company procedures, and handle customer inquiries or complaints with professionalism and care.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within retail environments or stores similar to UPS Stores; supervisory experience is essential.
- Strong skills in negotiation, sales management, and operational oversight with a focus on retail math and budgeting.
- Excellent communication skills including managerial communication, phone etiquette, and bilingual/multilingual abilities are highly valued.
- Demonstrated ability in recruiting, training & development of staff, along with supervising teams effectively.
- Proficiency in POS systems, inventory control software, cash handling procedures, and basic bookkeeping practices.
- Experience in retail industry sales team management including wireless sales or grocery store experience is advantageous.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently while managing shift schedules and operational tasks.
- Requires UPS Store experience
- Notary Public license required
