Job Description:
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Rolling Stock and Depot Equipment Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based Pearl City, Hawaii.
Technical Responsibilities:
Plan , manage, supervise, oversee and allocate resources to all aspects of maintenance activities within the maintenance sections of rolling stock and d epot equipment;
Assist the Engineering & Asset Manager in providing strategic direction, planning, and managing assessing asset condition, performance and obsolescence of passenger vehicles and Depot equipment ;
Manage and schedule the routine, preventive maintenance and unscheduled corrective maintenance, inspection, adjustments, testing, cleaning, and proper maintenance on assigned equipment in accordance with , schematics, operations manuals, and manufacturers maintenance instructions.
The role requires flexibility and efficiency which require shift rotation, working on weekends and holidays which is typical of major infrastructure projects, and operati o n al rail transit systems .

Ensure that effective Health, Safety, Security and Environmental management is embedded into the delivery of all work in line with established policies, systems, plans, procedures and work instructions ;

Ensure that quality is embedded into the delivery of all work in line with established policies, systems, plans, procedures and work instructions .
Financial and Commercial:
Expert knowledge in rolling stock & depot equipment maintenance planning, preparing maintenance budget ing , maintenance plans and procedures, technical specifications, safety and quality plans and procedures ;
Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in rolling stock and depot equipment maintenance with expert knowledge of car body, train p ropulsion system, brakes, batteries, auxiliary power supply and electrical equipment, car doors and doors control, ventilation and air-conditioning ;
Experience in maintenance planning, preparing maintenance budget, maintenance plans and procedures, technical specifications, safety and quality plan as required .
Education/Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical experience
Languages:
The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $165,000 per year. F inal pay is determined by the candidate’s experience, skillset and ability level, internal equity and location.
