Service technician wanted for new workshop!
Entry level position for service technician available at our new location in Costa Mesa. This location is fully equipped with brand new, dealer-level tools and equipment and has an established client base. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a fresh start in a clean workspace with a steady workload.
We are a continually growing independent automotive specialty shop that specializes in service, repair, and performance enhancements for late model (primarily 2015+) Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi, Lamborghini, Spyker, Bentley and BMW located in Laguna Hills (water-cooled cars only, no air-cooled). We are celebrating 27 years in business with the opening of our second location (position may also be available at original Laguna Hills location, please inquire)!
Applicants must be motivated and driven to succeed. Outstanding work ethics and cleanliness are required and expected. Must be able to follow verbal and written directions, effectively communicate with management, work in a fast paced and busy shop environment, and be able to drive a manual transmission. Technicians are required to maintain a clean and safe work space.
Applicants are preferred to have 1-3 years of relevant work experience, and dealership experience is a plus (VW/Porsche/Audi). Experience with luxury brands, technical school / manufacturer training program experience, and ASE certifications are not required, but would be a huge plus. Applicants must be 21+ for insurance reasons.
Responsibilities include performing routine vehicle services such as oil changes, tire rotations, checking fluids, replacing filters, mounting/balancing tires, performing wheel alignments, and performing basic safety inspections. Service technicians are responsible for cleaning and maintaining their work space, and helping with maintaining a clean workshop overall (sweeping, mopping, disposing of waste correctly, stocking inventory, etc.) Candidates should be interested pursuing a long-term career in automotive repair and ideally be an enthusiast for the brands we work with.
Reliable transportation required, tools are provided. Service time technicians are paid hourly (not flag). Business hours are 8am-6pm Monday and Saturdays 8am to 3:30pm. Service technicians must be available to work on Saturdays. Pay is determined by experience/qualifications with performance based raises up to twice per year.
