Smallbone & Associates is a growing immigration law firm in Franklin, Tennessee, seeking a full-time bilingual (Spanish/English) Immigration Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join our team.
Smallbone & Associates is one of Middle Tennessee's fastest-growing immigration law firms. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping immigrant families and wants to build a long-term career in immigration law.
This is not an entry-level administrative position where you simply process paperwork. Our paralegals work closely with attorneys, develop case strategy, prepare legal filings, communicate directly with clients, and become trusted members of our legal team. We invest heavily in training and professional development, and many of our team members build long-term careers with our firm.
This position offers the opportunity to work directly with experienced immigration attorneys on a wide variety of cases including:
- Family-Based Immigration
- Adjustment of Status
- Naturalization
- Removal Defense
- Employment-Based Immigration
- Special Immigrant Juvenile Status
- Waivers
- Humanitarian Cases
Responsibilities
- Prepare USCIS, NVC, and Immigration Court forms and filings
- Communicate with clients in English and Spanish
- Gather and organize supporting evidence
- Draft attorney correspondence and legal documents
- Maintain electronic case files using Docketwise
- Track filing deadlines
- Assist attorneys in preparing cases from intake through approval
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients
Qualifications
- Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Highly organized and dependable
- Comfortable managing multiple deadlines
- Immigration law experience preferred but not required—we are willing to train an exceptional candidate.
Salary: $45,000-$60,000, depending on experience.
