East End Surgery Center is a modern, AAAASF-accredited Ambulatory Surgery Center specializing in gastroenterology procedures. Conveniently located in Manorville, NY, just off Sunrise Highway, our center offers easy access for employees throughout Suffolk County and the East End.
Our center is a fast-paced outpatient GI practice, performing 20+ endoscopic procedures each procedure day. We are committed to providing exceptional patient care in a safe, compassionate, and efficient environment while fostering a collaborative, supportive workplace for our team.
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and highly motivated Registered Nurse who thrives in a high-volume procedural setting and enjoys working as part of a close-knit, physician-led team.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care in the pre-operative and post-anesthesia recovery areas.
- Perform patient assessments, admissions, discharge teaching, and patient education.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after GI procedures and throughout sedation recovery.
- Serve as a circulating Registered Nurse, assisting in the procedure room while supporting pre-operative and recovery areas to ensure safe, efficient patient flow and continuity of care.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and clinical documentation.
- Maintain controlled substance accountability logs in accordance with federal, state, and facility requirements.
- Perform routine crash cart medication inventory checks and ensure emergency medications and supplies remain current and fully stocked.
- Assist with emergency preparedness, infection prevention, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with AAAASF, CMS, OSHA, and New York State regulatory standards.
- Participate in ongoing staff education and competency training.
Qualifications
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required (or willingness to obtain).
- Minimum of one (1) year of RN experience preferred.
- Previous experience in endoscopy, ambulatory surgery, PACU, ICU, Emergency Department, or Critical Care is strongly preferred.
- Strong peripheral IV insertion and vascular access skills are required. Candidates must be confident establishing IV access in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a high-volume procedural environment while maintaining exceptional patient care and safety.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a collaborative team.
Schedule, Compensation & Benefits
- Part-Time Position
- Hourly Rate: $50.00–$60.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and scheduling flexibility.
- Typical hours are 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM on scheduled procedure days.
- Primary procedure days are Tuesdays and Fridays, alternating Wednesdays, and one Sunday each month.
- We are seeking a dependable, flexible RN who can accommodate this schedule with advance notice.
- Work schedules are published approximately two months in advance, providing consistency and allowing for excellent work-life balance.
- Medical, dental, retirement, and other employee benefits are not offered with this part-time position.
- No PTO offered for PT positions
