We are currently seeking a passionate
Data Automation Engineer to bolster our support for a vital U.S. Government customer. This role will be instrumental in providing onsite incident response for civilian agencies and critical asset owners facing cyber-attacks, ensuring immediate investigation and resolution to protect their missions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Develop: Create automated data pipelines for seamless technology integration initiatives.
- Automation Workflows: Build workflows for malware sample collection, detonation, and taxonomy to enhance efficiency.
- Integration Solutions: Implement automation for data integration between pilot and production systems, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Support Development: Contribute to the enhancement of the Automated Malware Analysis (AMA) platform, making it more robust and effective.
- Scripting & Tools: Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive technical tasks, reducing manual workload and increasing productivity.
- Data Transformation: Create automation for data transformation and normalization, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- AI/ML Preparation: Facilitate automation in data preparation and feature engineering for AI/ML applications.
- Monitoring & Alerts: Develop monitoring and alerting automation for integrated systems to ensure operational efficiency.
- API Integrations: Implement API integrations for effective data sharing and workflow automation.
- Documentation & Maintenance: Document automation solutions thoroughly and maintain organized code repositories.
- Scale Automation: Support the transition of automation processes from pilot phases to full-scale production environments.
- Optimize Performance: Continuously optimize automation performance and efficiency to enhance overall system capabilities.
- Collaborative Innovation: Work closely with analysts to identify and implement automation opportunities that drive impact.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all automation solutions maintain high standards of data quality and integrity.

Requirements:
Required Skills:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry on Duty (EOD) Suitability
- 5+ years of experience in automation engineering, data engineering, or software development
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in data manipulation libraries
- Experience developing data pipelines and ETL processes
- Knowledge of automation frameworks and orchestration tools
- Experience with APIs and integration technologies
- Understanding of database systems and data modeling
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD practices
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into automated solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent documentation and communication abilities
Desired Skills:
- Experience with malware analysis automation or cybersecurity tools
- Knowledge of AI/ML pipelines and data preparation
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect)
- Background in cybersecurity or threat intelligence automation
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of streaming data platforms (Kafka, Kinesis)
- Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
- Experience supporting federal cybersecurity programs
Required Education:
BS in Computer Science, Data Science, or related degree, or HS Diploma and 7+ years of directly relevant experience
Desired Certifications:
- DoD 8140 IAT Level III
- CSSLP
