Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and products to various locations in and out of state. This is a crucial role in our operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders in a timely and efficient manner.
Duties:
- Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles into restaurants and grocery stores
-Down stack and sort pallets to ensure accurate delivery to customer
- Safely operate company vehicles, such as refrigerated truck.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely deliveries
- Use equipment such as pallet jacks, hand dolly or other tools to assist with loading and unloading
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and customer interactions
Experience:
- At least 2 years previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with various delivery vehicles, such as box trucks or refrigerated truck
- Ability to operate equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
- Knowledge of route planning and navigation systems
- Restaurant, grocery, or retail delivery preferred
