Role Summary:
Join a dynamic team driving secure, scalable automation across Security Operations. In this hands-on technical leadership role, you will design and build workflows that improve alert enrichment, triage, incident response, and analyst efficiency. You ll partner closely with detection engineers, incident responders, analysts, and platform teams to reduce manual toil, improve signal quality, and strengthen operational resilience. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to combine engineering depth with cybersecurity impact while helping shape emerging AI-assisted security capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain automation for alert enrichment, correlation, triage, incident response, and case handoffs across SIEM/SOAR platforms
- Develop integrations and tooling using Python, PowerShell, APIs, and cloud-native services
- Collaborate with SOC and security teams to identify automation opportunities and improve workflows
- Design AI-assisted and agentic workflows with human-in-the-loop controls, auditability, and quality checks
- Partner with cross-functional teams, contribute to code/design reviews, and mentor others
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- 6 9 years of cybersecurity engineering experience, including 3 4 years in security automation, SOC engineering, or SIEM/SOAR development
- A bachelor s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
- Experience delivering reliable, production-ready automation in enterprise environments
- Strong collaboration skills and a track record of improving operational efficiency
- Interest in emerging AI capabilities for security operations
Required Skills/Experience:
- Strong proficiency with Python, PowerShell, APIs, and cloud automation
- Hands-on experience with SIEM/SOAR platforms, especially Microsoft Sentinel
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Defender/XDR, Azure Logic Apps, or similar tools
- Understanding of threat detection, alert tuning, incident response, and logging pipelines
- Excellent documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
Other Skills:
- Experience with Tines for SOC automation
- Knowledge of detection-as-code, CI/CD, MITRE ATT&CK, ASIM, or Sigma rules
- Experience with LLMs, intelligent agents, or AI/ML-assisted security tooling
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect, GIAC Security Automation, or Azure Security Engineer Associate
