This role is responsible for assisting the District Court Administrator with the administration and daily operations of the Clinton County Court of Common Pleas. Responsibilities include scheduling and caseflow management. Work is performed independently under the direct supervision of the District Court Administrator and the general direction of the President Judge.
Supports the District Court Administrator with varied administrative duties to ensure efficient court operations, requiring discretion, knowledge of court processes, and communication with internal and external contacts.
Assists in scheduling all courtroom proceedings. Approves non-judicial requests for the use of courtrooms and court facilities. Coordinates jurors and tipstaff by maintaining an accurate jury list for each term of court.
Helps manage caseflow by tracking court cases, monitoring criminal matters, closing inactive files, and sending monthly reports to the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts (AOPC).
Assists in fulfilling responsibilities to the AOPC by supporting efforts that promote a unified judicial system, serving as a liaison with AOPC representatives to address specific issues and requests. Prepares and submits all required reports to the AOPC in an accurate and timely manner.
Handles administrative matters with county offices, the bar association, government agencies, as well as state and federal officials.
Serves as a liaison between the court and the Magisterial District judges (MDJs) to address specific issues. Schedules meetings and maintains agendas and minutes for meetings with the MDJs.
Assists in preparing and submitting the annual budget for the Courts.
Assists in supervising court-appointed personnel, maintaining personnel files, and employee PTO records. Develops employee discipline and grievance procedures and oversees job descriptions for staff.
Supports the DCA in supervising the Administrative Assistant/Law Librarian.
