Job Summary
CMS Mechanical Services is seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team in the DFW area. This role will support commercial construction projects, including schools, municipal buildings, and large-scale facilities.
The ideal candidate has strong field experience, works safely and efficiently, and takes pride in delivering high-quality electrical installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial construction environments
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Run conduit (EMT, RMC, PVC), pull wire, and terminate panels and equipment
- Install lighting systems, switchgear, and controls
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs as needed
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and local codes
- Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and other trades on-site
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work area
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License (required)
- 4+ years of commercial electrical experience
- Strong knowledge of NEC and construction safety standards
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams
- Experience with commercial projects (schools, offices, healthcare, etc.) preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
