Real Estate Associate / Counsel
A mid-Atlantic based Am Law 200 law firm is seeking a mid- to senior-level Real Estate Associate or Counsel to join its growing Real Estate practice in Baltimore, MD; Washington, DC; or Richmond, VA.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 4+ years of commercial real estate experience who is looking to work on sophisticated, high-value transactions within a collaborative and expanding practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions
- Handle real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing matters
- Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, commercial leases, loan documents, and other transactional documents
- Conduct legal due diligence and assist with transaction management through to closing
- Work closely with partners on complex, developer-side real estate transactions
- Manage client relationships while supporting sophisticated commercial real estate matters
Qualifications
- 4+ years of commercial real estate experience
- Strong experience handling acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and commercial leasing transactions
- Experience with office, retail, and industrial leasing is highly preferred
- Confidence managing transactions and seeing deals through to closing
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Active Bar admission (or eligibility for admission) in the relevant jurisdiction

Compensation
- Base Salary: From $205,000+, depending on experience
