Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum plans tailored to toddlers’ developmental stages, including literacy, motor skills, and social-emotional growth
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes curiosity and exploration
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong partnerships
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom staff to ensure high-quality care and educational standards are maintained
- Conduct assessments of child development using standardized testing methods and document observations for ongoing progress tracking
- Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications, to maintain a secure environment for children
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings, particularly with toddlers
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and preschool teaching strategies
- Proficiency in classroom management, lesson planning, and behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and literacy education methods
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners
- Ability to implement physical education activities that promote motor skills development
- Knowledge of daycare regulations, mandated reporting laws, and child welfare policies
- Experience with classroom experience in private or daycare settings; preschool experience is highly valued
- Certification in first aid and CPR; additional credentials in early intervention or childhood education are advantageous
