We are urgently hiring an experienced Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in Birmingham, Alabama. This opportunity is ideal for RNs with strong Med Surg experience who are comfortable working night shifts in a fast-paced acute-care environment. Travel nursing experience and Cerner experience are required.
Mandatory Requirements to Apply
- Active RN License (Alabama or Compact State)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical RN experience
- Cerner EMR experience – Required
- Previous Travel Nursing experience – Required
- Current BLS Certification
- Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and patient-care skills
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical patients.
- Assess patients, monitor vital signs and changes in condition, and implement appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, treatments, and other physician-ordered care.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR and follow patient safety and hospital standards.
Bonus & Benefits + Salary
- Travel RN – W2 + Tax-Free Stipend
- Blended Hourly Rate: $50.00/hour
- Weekly Gross Pay: $1,800/week
- Taxable Hourly Rate: $10.00/hour
- Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,440/week for qualified travelers
- Guaranteed: 36 hours/week
