Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Food Service Director to oversee the food service operations at our facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of food service staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing high-quality dining experiences for our patients and residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Food Service Director Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of food service staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our patients and residents
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as quality care standards
Manage food inventory, ordering, and receiving to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste
Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless food service delivery
Monitor and improve food quality, presentation, and overall dining experience
Develop and maintain relationships with local food suppliers and vendors
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction surveys
Collaborate with the facility's leadership team to develop and implement operational strategies
Food Service Director Requirements:
Prior experience as a Food Service Director or in a related management role
CDM certification required
Experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in food service software and technology
