Job Summary
Join a leading healthcare facility in Columbus, OH as a Travel Sterile Processing Technician (SPT). This is a 13-week day shift assignment for experienced sterile processing professionals with strong knowledge of surgical instrument reprocessing and sterilization.
Responsibilities
- Decontaminate surgical instruments
- Assemble instrument trays
- Prepare case carts
- Perform steam sterilization
- Operate Sterrad systems
- Perform IUSS sterilization
- Monitor sterilization indicators
- Reprocess flexible endoscopes
- Use Medivator & Scope Buddy
- Process robotic instruments
- Handle orthopedic drills
- Process laparoscopic sets
- Support ENT & ophthalmology
- Process trauma instruments
- Handle vascular & CV sets
- Process transplant instruments
- Track instruments in Censitrac
- Inspect instrument quality
- Maintain sterile storage
- Support OR team needs
Requirements
- CBSPD or CRCST Certification
- 3+ years of SPT experience
- Previous travel experience
- Teaching hospital experience
- Level II Trauma experience
- Experience with Censitrac
- Experience with Medivator
- Experience with Scope Buddy
- Flexible endoscope reprocessing
- Steam sterilization experience
- Surgical drill experience
