Overview
The Kitchen Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, overseeing food preparation and production while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for culinary excellence. The ideal candidate will have experience in dining or hospitality settings, with a focus on team management.
Duties
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation.
- Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Train new staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and kitchen procedures.
- Foster a positive work atmosphere that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff.
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation and production within a culinary environment.
- Background in hospitality or dining is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and other departments.
Wage: $16/hr to $18/hr depending on experience + TIPS
