Critical Facilities Solutions is an international data center services company specializing in critical environment cleaning, janitorial and custodial services, and infrastructure support for secure data center facilities.
We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented individuals with janitorial or custodial experience who are ready to grow beyond traditional cleaning services. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of an entire building and data center environment, including common areas, dining rooms, server and computer rooms, data halls, restrooms, hallways, offices, conference rooms, and other secured spaces.
Work will be performed in an active construction space, and team members should be comfortable working in conditions that may include exposure to heat, dust, and changing site conditions.
Data centers are among the most critical and secure facilities in the world, and this position requires professionalism, consistency, and the ability to follow scheduled routines while adapting to changing operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Vacuum carpeted and hard surface areas using HEPA-filtered backpack or canister vacuums, including crevices, areas under desks and tables, cubicles, open spaces, and hallways.
- Damp mop hard surface areas using commercial mop systems and approved cleaning solutions while following proper wet floor safety procedures.
- Clean walls, concrete, drywall, support beams, doors, posts, glass partitions, fire extinguishers, attached wall equipment, cages, and other general surfaces using HEPA-filtered vacuums, microfiber tools, and approved non-abrasive cleaners.
- Perform cabinet and rack detailing by removing dust and contamination from racks, cabinets, cable ladders, and equipment structures using forced air, HEPA-filtered vacuums, microfiber cloths, and ESD-safe cleaning solutions.
- Clean data hall surfaces, including walls, posts, doors, support beams, and hanging lights, using proper critical-environment cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Follow daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual cleaning schedules while adapting to operational changes in a secure facility environment.
- Maintain a safe, professional work area and follow all company procedures for working in critical and secure data center environments.
Qualifications and Skills
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of janitorial, custodial, or related experience required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic proficiency with workplace technology, such as mobile devices and timekeeping systems.
- Ability to use a smartphone for required applications, including time tracking.
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to safely climb 6-foot ladders as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Data center knowledge preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances preferred.
- Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and hazardous components preferred.
- Scissor lift experience preferred, but not required.
- High school diploma preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to bend, reach, twist, stoop, push, pull, grasp, and work in cramped areas.
- Ability to reach overhead and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work in an active construction environment with possible exposure to heat, dust, and changing site conditions.
Shifts Available: (Pay is dependent on shift)
- 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm, and Saturday, 10:00 am – 8:00 pm. (Openings: 5)
- 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm, and Saturday, 10:00 am – 8:00 pm. (Openings: 5)
- 3rd Shift (A): Monday – Friday, 10:00 pm – 6:30 am, and Saturday, 10:00 am – 8:00 pm. (Openings: 5)
- 3rd Shift (B): Monday – Friday, 10:00 pm – 6:30 am, and Sunday, 10:00 am – 8:00 pm. (Openings: 15)
