Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance.
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning of machinery or large areas when required.
- Assist with custodial responsibilities related to waste removal, restocking supplies, and sanitation procedures.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for fixtures or equipment and assisting with light maintenance tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness standards during scheduled shifts by following established protocols for safety and efficiency.
- Use commercial cleaning tools effectively while adhering to safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques.
- Knowledge of floor care procedures including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers or industrial vacuums confidently and safely.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning standards and residential painting is a plus for versatile facility support.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting maintenance issues promptly.
