We are hiring a full-time HVAC Technician to support a large manufacturing and engineering facility in Rockford, IL. This role is a great fit for someone early in their HVAC career who wants to grow their technical skills in a stable, team-oriented environment. You’ll help maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems and facility equipment while working alongside experienced technicians. *BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIRED*

Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and basic repairs on HVAC and facility systems
- Troubleshoot heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment
- Inspect, clean, and replace HVAC components as needed
- Support preventive maintenance activities
- Respond to service calls and assist with system repairs
- Work with HVAC controls, air handling units, boilers, and related equipment
- Use tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
- Follow safety procedures and company standards
- Work indoors and outdoors, including rooftops and mechanical spaces when needed
Required Experience / Skills
- 1–3 years of HVAC experience or trade school training
- EPA Universal Certification preferred or ability to obtain
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems and troubleshooting
- Willingness to learn and grow in commercial/industrial HVAC
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in physical environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- OSHA certification
- Experience with boilers, controls, or commercial HVAC systems
- Trade school or technical HVAC training
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- HVAC or technical trade school preferred

Compensation & Benefits
- $25–28/hour
