We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Guard Officer to uphold safety and security across our premises. Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility using CCTV surveillance systems and physical security checks to deter unauthorized access and prevent theft or vandalism
- Manage access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Respond swiftly to security incidents by assessing situations, executing emergency response procedures, and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activities with clarity and accuracy
- Perform background checks on new personnel or visitors when required to ensure compliance with security policies
- Operate security equipment such as Taser devices, firearms (where permitted), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform CPR in emergency situations
- Enforce safety protocols including manual handling procedures, heavy lifting guidelines, fire safety measures, and compliance with all security regulations
Experience
- Proven experience in physical security roles such as military service, law enforcement, or private security firms
- Familiarity with surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control systems
- Training in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures is highly desirable
- Ability to handle conflict de-escalation techniques effectively while maintaining professionalism under pressure
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and incident report writing standards
- Experience performing background checks and managing security operations within compliance frameworks
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service-oriented approach to assist visitors and staff professionally
