Duties
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately and swiftly
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product selections to enhance their shopping experience
- Conduct product demos when needed to showcase features and benefits of merchandise
- Restock shelves and organize merchandise to maintain an attractive and accessible store layout
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision and integrity
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Upsell products by recommending complementary items to increase sales and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience with POS systems and cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Supervising experience is a plus, especially in managing team tasks or overseeing stock levels
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills to engage confidently with customers and team members
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management
- Experience in merchandising, stocking, or grocery store environments is advantageous
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed for stocking duties
