The Area Task Force General Manager provides on-site leadership and operational support at various Hotel properties in the absence of a General Manager in the Atlanta, GA Region. This role serves as an extension of the property’s GM, performing all essential management duties while ensuring operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and brand compliance. The Area Task Force GM supports properties experiencing leadership transitions, GM leave or departure, new property acquisitions, and provides ongoing training and guidance to General Managers across the portfolio.
What You’ll Do
- Lead hotel operations and staff in the absence of a GM.
- Train, mentor, and support General Managers and Assistant GMs.
- Uphold all NHG standards, SOPs, and brand requirements.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and financial performance; implement improvements.
- Manage daily property operations to ensure consistent service and quality.
- Support new hotel acquisitions and transition processes.
- Drive sales and marketing efforts to meet or exceed business goals.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and regulatory standards.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate staff; promote a positive work environment.
- Oversee payroll, accounting procedures, and financial reporting.
- Manage equipment maintenance and handle outages promptly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality/Hotel Management or Business Administration preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Hotel General Manager.
- Ability to travel throughout Atlanta, Georgia.
- Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with MS Office, PMS/CRS systems, yield management, and payroll software.
- Physically able to lift up to 30 lbs and perform typical hotel operational tasks.
