Job Summary
TradeSource, a construction staffing company located in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking Industrial electricians to install, maintain and repair electrical systems in a heavy industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience routing, bending, and installing conduit to ensure safe and efficient power distribution. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with strong potential for long-term career growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Bend, thread, and run rigid, IMC, and EMT conduit (up to 2 inches or larger).
- Pull wire and cable through conduit runs and cable trays.
- Install, terminate, and maintain switchgear, transformers, motor control centers (MCCs), and panels.
- Read and interpret industrial blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using multimeters, meggers, and process calibrators.
- Adhere strictly to OSHA standards and National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician in an industrial or heavy commercial setting.
- Expertise in conduit bending (hand, mechanical, and hydraulic benders) is strictly required.
- Strong understanding of 3-phase power systems (480V) and control wiring.
- Ability to work at heights from ladders, scaffolding, and scissor lifts.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and a strong commitment to job site safety
- Must have proper PPE (hardhat, safety glasses, work gloves)
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs
