Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and delivery vehicles to transport appliances to residential and commercial locations.
- Load, unload, and secure appliances using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Install, assemble, and perform basic setup of appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, and HVAC units.
- Conduct routine inspections of delivery equipment and vehicle maintenance to ensure safety standards are met.
- Communicate clearly with customers to confirm delivery times, explain appliance features, and address any questions or concerns.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical or electrical issues on-site using schematics and mechanical knowledge.
- Document delivery details accurately in logs and reports; report any damages or discrepancies immediately.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or field service technician preferred; familiarity with appliance repair is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and perform basic equipment repairs.
- Customer service experience demonstrating professionalism and effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC units, electrical components, and electrical experience beneficial.
- Experience handling appliances during assembly or installation processes.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles required.
- Familiarity with field service procedures involving equipment repair, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical assembly.
