Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on facilities equipment including HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing systems, and mechanical devices.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools such as ohmmeters.
- Perform HVAC system repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal climate control within the building.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to carry out carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical tasks.
- Maintain building interior spaces through painting, carpentry repairs, and general facilities upkeep to uphold safety standards and aesthetic quality.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Supervise or assist with maintenance projects involving CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) documentation to track work orders and inventory.
- Lead or support team efforts in facilities equipment maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
- Coordinate with vendors or contractors for specialized repairs such as welding or HVAC system upgrades when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and parts used to ensure accountability and compliance.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance repair operations (MRO).
- Proficiency in electrical work including troubleshooting electrical equipment with schematics and using tools like ohmmeters.
- Experience with plumbing system maintenance and repair as well as HVAC system troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized maintenance tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of building interior maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting (including residential painting), drywall repair, and general facilities upkeep.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical schematics, CMMS software, and schematics reading skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and teamwork coordination.
- Leadership or supervising experience in a maintenance or manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately for efficient troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems including repair techniques specific to heating, ventilation, air conditioning units.
- Experience with plumbing system maintenance including leak detection and pipe repair techniques.
