Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy and counseling to a diverse patient population. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and mental health screenings utilizing clinical documentation standards and medical terminology.
- Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis tailored to individual needs.
- Provide specialized family counseling and behavioral counseling.
- Implement case management strategies to coordinate home & community care services, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems for accurate data collection, medical records management, and documentation of patient care activities in accordance with medical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical social workers, psychiatrists, educators, and community agencies to optimize patient care plans.
- Participate in intake procedures and perform patient care assessments utilizing ICD-10/ICD-9/ICD coding for accurate diagnosis coding and CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention protocols and crisis management techniques to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent credential.
- Proven experience working with adolescents, adults, or geriatrics in clinical settings; experience with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral health interventions, and evidence-based practices.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks for documentation and data collection purposes.
- Experience working within hospital environments or community-based settings; familiarity with medical terminology and medical social work is preferred.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments using diagnostic tools aligned with ICD coding standards (ICD-10/ICD-9).
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and engaging patients across diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to ensure privacy compliance at all times.
- Additional expertise in psychopharmacology, CPT coding procedures, or crisis management enhances your candidacy.
