Position Summary
Jason Stone Injury Lawyers (JSIL) is seeking an experienced Employee Relations & Office Manager to serve as the on-site HR and operational leader for its five Massachusetts offices. Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources, this role provides hands-on employee relations support, partners with local leadership, and ensures consistent people practices and office operations across locations.
Key Responsibilities
· Serve as the primary on-site HR contact for employees and managers across all five offices, ensuring timely communication and consistent application of firm policies.
· Manage employee relations matters, including intake, fact-finding, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, documentation, and recommendations in partnership with the Director of Human Resources.
· Coach managers on performance expectations, attendance, corrective action, employee concerns, and appropriate documentation; participate in disciplinary and termination meetings as directed.
· Coordinate onboarding and offboarding, including orientation, introductions, workspace readiness, system access, timekeeping setup, equipment, and required records in partnership with HR, IT, Training, Payroll, and hiring managers.
· Support performance reviews, promotions, transfers, compensation changes, quarterly bonuses, payroll, benefits, leave and accommodation matters; ensure approvals and personnel actions are complete and timely.
· Coordinate workplace injury and workers’ compensation reporting, required federal and Massachusetts postings, confidential employee records, and other local compliance needs.
· Oversee day-to-day office operations across the five locations, including reception and phone coverage, mail and scanning workflows, supplies, equipment, common areas, records, and administrative support.
· Coordinate vendors, facilities requests, office access, safety issues, repairs, events, and approved direct-mail or print projects; track issues through resolution.
· Partner with attorneys and department leaders, identify workforce, culture, or operational concerns, provide regular updates to the Director of Human Resources, and travel among the five offices as needed.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
· Four or more years of progressive HR, employee relations, or multi-site office management experience; prior legal or professional-services experience is preferred.
· Demonstrated experience handling sensitive employee matters, workplace investigations, performance issues, and confidential information with sound judgment.
· Working knowledge of employment practices, strong organization and communication skills, and the ability to balance HR priorities with daily office needs; Massachusetts experience is strongly preferred.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/timekeeping systems; Paychex experience and SHRM or HRCI certification are preferred. Must be able to work on-site and travel among the five offices.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
