Responsibilities
- Prepare clients for services by performing consultations on color theory, hair care needs, and desired outcomes
- Maintain salon cleanliness and sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments using salon software like MINDBODY, greeting clients warmly, and handling retail sales with upselling techniques
- Support store management in inventory management, retail math calculations, and product merchandising to maximize sales opportunities
- Mentor new team members by sharing knowledge on hair threading, barbering techniques like straight razor shaves, and overall salon procedures
Skills
- Strong knowledge of hair styling techniques and color theory principles
- Experience with hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and nail care is highly desirable
- Proficiency in salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointments and client records management
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients and team members
- Ability to perform sanitation procedures diligently to uphold health standards
- Knowledge of retail sales strategies including upselling and retail math calculations
- Familiarity with store management tasks such as inventory control and front desk operations
- Basic understanding of barbering tools like straight razors and hair threading techniques
