Delamar Mystic- Stunning waterfront luxury boutique hotel with views of the Mystic River is seeking a full-time Maintenance Engineer. This candidate will be performing preventative maintenance around the hotel and will be responsible for all repairs. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and structural systems within out hotel. Your expertise will help create a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Preventative Maintenance
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as power outages, plumbing leaks, and equipment failures, and take necessary actions to mitigate the impact on guests and staff.
- Monitor and maintain hotel equipment, including boilers, chillers, elevators, and fire safety systems, to ensure their reliability and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and work orders to track maintenance history and plan for future maintenance needs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations, conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any identified hazards promptly.
- Provide training and guidance to hotel staff on safety procedures and equipment operation to promote a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with external contractors, suppliers, and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair services when necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training in relevant fields preferred.
- Proven experience in hotel engineering, facility maintenance, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with building codes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
