Duties
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices for infants and toddlers
- Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities and providing personalized care
- Manage behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies
- Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily experiences
- Ensure the environment is clean, organized, and safe by following health and safety protocols including first aid procedures
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, or nannying roles
- Classroom experience or early childhood education background preferred
- Demonstrated ability to care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children with patience and enthusiasm
- Knowledge of childhood development milestones and best practices in childcare
- Training or certification in first aid and CPR required or obtainable upon hire
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with families and team members
