Automotive Technician / Shop Lead
Location: Liberty, Missouri
Position: Full-Time Automotive Technician / Mechanic
Pay: Based on experience, certifications, skill level, and flexibility
We are a small but growing automotive business in the Liberty area looking for the right person to grow with us. We are currently open to hiring either an experienced Master Technician who can help run the shop or a developing technician who has a solid automotive foundation and wants to continue learning.
Position #1 – Master Technician / Shop Lead
We are looking for a knowledgeable, experienced technician who is capable of diagnosing and repairing vehicles while also helping manage the day-to-day workflow of the shop.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems accurately
- Perform automotive repairs and maintenance
- Help oversee daily shop operations and workflow
- Prioritize jobs and keep work moving efficiently
- Communicate with customers about repairs and recommendations
- Write up repair orders/tickets when needed
- Answer phones and assist customers when needed
- Maintain quality control on completed work
- Keep tools, work areas, and the shop organized
- Clean up after yourself and take pride in the appearance of the shop
- Help establish good shop procedures as the business continues to grow
- Be dependable and willing to step in wherever needed
What We're Looking For
- Master-level automotive knowledge and experience
- ASE certifications or other automotive certifications are a major plus
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision
- Leadership skills and the ability to help run a shop
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Dependable, honest, and motivated
- Organized and able to manage multiple jobs

We understand automotive repair is a dirty job. We don't expect the shop to stay spotless all day, but we do expect employees to clean up after themselves, put tools and equipment away, and make an effort to keep the shop as clean and professional as possible.
Pay will reflect your knowledge, experience, certifications, ability to manage the shop, and flexibility.
Position #2 – Automotive Technician / Developing Mechanic
Not a Master Technician yet? That's okay.
We are also interested in someone who knows their way around a vehicle, has basic mechanical experience, and is willing and motivated to learn as they go.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance
- Handle smaller jobs to keep vehicles moving through the shop
- Assist the lead technician with larger repairs
- Write customer tickets/repair orders
- Answer phones
- Greet and communicate professionally with customers
- Help schedule and organize incoming work
- Keep your work area clean and organized
- Learn new repairs and skills as opportunities come up
- Be willing to jump in and help wherever the shop needs you

Compensation
Pay is based on what you bring to the table.
Experience, certifications, diagnostic ability, customer-service skills, ability to run the shop, and schedule flexibility will all be reflected in compensation.

Pay: $20.00 - $60.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
