American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Mother Baby / Post Partum position at a Magnet-designated Level II trauma center hospital in Asheville, NC, requiring 2+ years of Mother Baby experience and night shift availability.

Work is performed on a 34-bed Mother Baby unit with private couplet rooms in a hospital setting

Patient ratio is 1:3-4 couplets
-
Night shift position: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
-
Weekend coverage is required; no on-call shifts

EMR is Cerner
-
Equipment used includes Alaris pumps, bilirubin blankets, and bilirubin lights
-
Floating is required to L&D and NICU as helping hands
-
Unit staffing includes a charge nurse, 11 RNs, and 1 PCT/secretary per shift
-
Active NC or Compact RN license required
-
Current BLS (AHA or ARC accepted) and NRP (AAP Advanced 9th Edition) required — certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start

Minimum 2 years of recent Mother Baby / Post Partum RN experience required

US SSN and DOB required for consideration

One professional reference required (two required if from Florida or Missouri)

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

STABLE certification is preferred

Experience caring for patients on Magnesium Sulfate post-delivery is preferred

Prior travel nursing experience is preferred

Circumcisions are among the typical procedures performed on the unit

Navy blue or white scrubs required

The facility is the region's referral center and home to a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, Level III NICU, and a children's hospital

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
