Job Summary
- Manufacturing Manager: We are seeking an Manufacturing Manager to join GMB USA ALABAMA INC. This position supports the full-scale launch and ramp-up of electrification (EV) component production at our new North American facility. The role covers process installation and maintenance across EWP / EOP / APP / ITM product lines (see glossary below). As a generalist role in a new plant environment, the ideal candidate will contribute to both productivity improvement and quality competitiveness across the production floor.
Duties
- Process Stabilization & Continuous Improvement: Support process stabilization during production ramp-up and lead continuous improvement activities to reduce cycle time, defects, and production losses.
- Equipment Management & On-site Setup: Perform and oversee equipment efficiency improvement, preventive maintenance (PM), installation, on-site setup, adjustment, and qualification for production line equipment.
- Precision Manufacturing Support & Quality Inspection: Identify and resolve quality issues related to precision assembly. Conduct product inspections and process quality evaluations.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze internal production databases and technical data to improve cost, quality, and reliability. Report process status, bottlenecks, and technical issues to management.
- Specialized Technical Knowledge Application: Apply expertise in electrical systems, automation equipment, CAD/MES software tools, and EV drivetrain component manufacturing processes.
- Travel: No domestic or international travel required for this role.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of this job family.

- Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Strong analytical ability to identify root causes of equipment or process errors and implement sustainable solutions.
- Operational Efficiency: Commitment to maximizing productivity, reducing defects, and optimizing resources on mass-production lines.
- QMS Compliance: Strict adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and standards throughout the production process.
- Teamwork & Collaboration: Ability to cooperate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Equipment, and HQ.
- Priority Management: Skill in managing multiple concurrent tasks and setting logical priorities under pressure.
Qualifications & Preferences
- Experience: 3 to 8 years of experience at an automotive/EV parts manufacturer in production engineering, production, or maintenance roles.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, or electronics engineering is preferred. Related engineering disciplines are equally considered.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Language: Professional working proficiency in English is required. Korean language proficiency is preferred for coordination with HQ and Korean-assigned staff.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
- EV Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with EWP, EOP, APP, ITM, or related electrification drivetrain systems is a strong advantage.

- Employees in this role must comply with all applicable occupational safety and health legislation (OSHA and related regulations), attend mandatory safety training, correctly operate all equipment and tools, immediately report hazards, injuries, or equipment defects, and follow emergency/evacuation procedures. Employees must cooperate fully with safety audits and inspections conducted by the company or regulatory authorities.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
