Job Summary
The Labeling / Terminal Marker Specialist creates wire labels, terminal markers, tags, and related labeling materials used in electrical control panels, switchboards, and other manufactured electrical systems. This position works from work orders, customer specifications, electrical drawings, and wiring diagrams to produce accurate, organized labeling kits for production use. The role requires attention to detail, basic electrical drawing comprehension, and the ability to operate label printing software, label printers, and plotters.
Responsibilities
- Create wire labels, terminal markers, tags, and related identification materials according to work orders, customer specifications, and electrical drawings.
- Operate label printing machines, plotters, and related equipment used to produce electrical labeling materials.
- Review electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, work orders, and customer requirements to verify labeling needs and identify discrepancies.
- Assemble complete labeling kits by work order number and customer name, including labels, markers, tags, and related materials.
- Organize labeling materials so production employees can easily identify and use the correct items for each job.
- Maintain accurate records of completed labeling kits, pending work, and labeling material usage.
- Track and maintain inventory of terminals, labels, markers, printer supplies, and related materials.
- Communicate with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve unclear labeling requirements or drawing discrepancies.
- Inspect completed labels and marker sets for accuracy, legibility, quantity, and proper formatting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, basic electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and customer specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately match labels, markers, and tags to job requirements.
- Basic computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to organize materials by work order, customer name, job number, or other production identifiers.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and handle small parts and labeling materials throughout the workday.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience creating wire labels, terminal markers, or related materials in an electrical manufacturing environment.
- Experience using label printing machines, plotters, or industrial marking systems.
- Experience with Easy-Mark Plus, Vario Sign, ClearTools, PROJECT Complete Marking, Smart Script, or similar labeling software.
- Familiarity with electrical control panels, switchboards, wiring layouts, terminal blocks, and component identification.
- Experience maintaining inventory of labels, terminals, markers, printer supplies, or similar production materials.

M - F, 6:00am - 2:30pm
