Prairie Gymnastics Club is a locally owned, community-focused gym dedicated to helping children build confidence, strength, and a love for movement in a fun, positive environment. We are seeking an energetic, dependable, and enthusiastic Part-Time Assistant Recreational Gymnastics Coach to join our team.
This position is ideal for high school students, former gymnasts, cheerleaders, dancers, athletes, or anyone who enjoys working with children and being part of a team.
Position Details
Position: Part-Time Assistant Recreational Gymnastics Coach
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Thursdays: 4:00pm - 8:00pm
- Fridays: 4:00pm - 7:00pm
- School-year availability required
- Additional hours may be available for camps, events, open gyms, and substitute shifts

Responsibilities
- Assist lead coaches during preschool and recreational gymnastics classes
- Provide hands-on support to students during class activities and skill stations
- Help create a positive, safe, and engaging environment for children
- Help supervise students during transitions and activities
- Fill in for coach absences when needed
- Assist with cleaning, organization, and daily gym upkeep
- Set up and put away equipment before and after classes
- Maintain a clean and safe training environment
- Provide excellent customer service to families and students
- Follow all Prairie Gymnastics Club, USA Gymnastics, and SafeSport policies and procedures
- Participate in staff meetings and training opportunities
- Assist with camps, special events, showcases, and other programs as needed

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous gymnastics, cheer, dance, tumbling, or youth sports experience
- Experience babysitting, coaching, teaching, volunteering, or working with children
- Current high school students, recent graduates, or college students encouraged to apply
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to actively supervise and assist children in a gymnastics environment
- Ability to obtain required USA Gymnastics certifications based on age and position requirements
