Coding & AI Instructor for Kids – Saturdays
Code Space Lab is a future technology education program for children ages 7–14. We help students explore coding, artificial intelligence, game development, and digital creativity through engaging, hands-on projects.
We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and reliable instructor to lead our Saturday classes in Plantation, Florida.
This is a great part-time opportunity for college students or recent graduates studying Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, Engineering, Digital Media, or another STEM-related field.
What You’ll Do
- Teach coding, AI, and digital creativity classes to children ages 7–14
- Guide students through hands-on projects using our structured curriculum
- Help students create games, animations, presentations, and other digital projects
- Explain technical concepts in a clear, age-appropriate, and engaging way
- Maintain a positive, organized, and supportive classroom environment
- Assist students with laptops, coding platforms, and basic technical issues
- Communicate professionally with parents and the Code Space Lab team
- Help welcome prospective families during free demo classes
All curriculum, lesson plans, teaching materials, and instructor training are provided.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong computer literacy and confidence using technology
- Basic knowledge of coding, programming, AI tools, or digital design
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- A friendly, patient, and energetic approach to working with children
- Reliability, punctuality, and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage a group of students with different skill levels
- Consistent availability every Saturday
- Ability to commute reliably to Plantation, Florida
- Willingness to complete a background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with children through teaching, tutoring, camps, coaching, mentoring, or after-school programs
- Experience with Scratch, Python, Roblox Studio, Minecraft Education, HTML/CSS, graphic design, or AI tools
- Current enrollment in or completion of a Computer Science, IT, Education, Engineering, Digital Media, or STEM-related program
- Experience leading presentations, demonstrations, or group activities
Schedule
- Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM
- Approximately 5.5 hours per week
- Regular and consistent Saturday availability is required
Compensation
- $22–$25 per hour, depending on experience
- Part-time, 1099 independent contractor position
- Paid instructor training provided

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
