About the Position
NAPCO International is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Packer to join our Brooklyn Park, MN team.
The Packer is responsible for accurately preparing, packaging, labeling, and inspecting products for shipment. This position plays an important role in ensuring that customer orders are packaged correctly and meet NAPCO's quality and documentation requirements.
The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, comfortable performing repetitive physical work, and takes pride in accuracy and quality.
This is an on-site, union-represented position. Compensation and applicable terms and conditions of employment are governed by the collective bargaining agreement.
Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Thursday, 7:00am-2:30pm Fridays

Key Responsibilities
- Manually construct boxes, containers, and packaging materials for products.
- Pack products accurately and securely according to established procedures and customer requirements.
- Accurately count products and maintain required counting multiples while packing.
- Create and apply labels and other identifying information to containers as required.
- Verify product identification, quantities, and packaging before shipment.
- Conduct basic quality checks on products while packing and report discrepancies or defects.
- Follow established packaging, quality, safety, and work instructions.
- Maintain accurate and organized work areas and materials.
- Keep the work area clean, safe, and orderly.
- Handle products and packaging materials safely and appropriately.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the warehouse and operations team.
- Follow all company policies, safety requirements, and applicable quality procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing or warehouse experience
- Packaging experience
- Experience working in a quality-controlled environment
Physical Requirements
This position requires the employee to:
- Stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Perform repetitive movements involving the arms, hands, and torso.
- Frequently use hands and arms for packing, labeling, counting, and handling materials.
- Bend, reach, and move throughout the work area.
- Safely handle products, boxes, and packaging materials.
- Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Pay
$22.69 per hour
