Overview
Happy Pup Spa is looking for a Dog Grooming Assistant to join our growing team. This is a hybrid role that combines dog bathing with front desk responsibilities in a luxury grooming environment.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with dogs and people. You’ll play an important role in both the care of each pup and the overall client experience in the spa.
What You’ll Do
Back of House (Bathing & Grooming Support):
- Bathe, brush, and dry dogs safely and efficiently
- Prepare dogs for grooming services including nails, ears, and brushing
- Assist groomers with maintaining service flow
- Monitor pets for safety and comfort at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area
- Must have transportation, as this position does require errands to be run for the spa (laundry, supply pickup, etc)
Front of House (Reception & Client Experience):
- Greet clients and provide a professional, welcoming experience
- Check clients in and out using our booking system
- Answer phones and assist with scheduling appointments
- Educate clients on services, add-ons, and rebooking
- Support retail sales and maintain a clean lobby
What We’re Looking For
- Customer service experience is required
- Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Schedule - Wednesday (10:00-3:00pm), Thursday (8:45-6:00pm), Friday (8:45-6:00pm), Saturday (8:45-6:00pm)
Compensation
- $12/hour + tips
- Tips vary based on performance and team contribution
Additional Details
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift dogs up to 40 lbs, or assist in team lifts of other pups when needed
- Weekend availability is required
