Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing curriculum development tailored to various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers
- Support classroom management and behavior management strategies to foster a positive learning environment
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities focused on literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional development
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, needs, and achievements
- Collaborate with lead teachers to plan lessons that promote childhood development and early intervention strategies
- Maintain safety standards by following mandated reporting laws, first aid protocols, and child welfare guidelines
- Adapt quickly to different classroom settings, providing consistent care and instruction as needed
Requirements
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including toddler care, preschool teaching, and special education practices
- Strong classroom management skills and experience with behavior management techniques
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
- Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
- Familiarity with childhood development milestones and standardized testing methods
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Demonstrated understanding of mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies
- Prior classroom experience in private or public school environments is preferred
- Passion for early intervention, literacy education, math instruction, and physical activity for young children
