Overview
We are seeking energetic, compassionate, Strong willed and assertive Direct Support Professionals to join our team! In this vital role, you will provide hands-on assistance, companionship, and support to individuals with diverse needs, including developmental disabilities, aging, and health challenges. Your dedication will help promote independence, safety, and quality of life for the people you serve.
- Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing for changes in condition, and reporting findings to healthcare teams.
- Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control protocols.
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA standards and update care plans regularly.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a respectful, positive environment.
Requirements.
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in assisted living, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred.
- Certification or training in First Aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, hospice care, or memory care is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks associated with patient monitoring and mobility assistance.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and families.
- Valid driver’s license may be required for transportation duties.

Pay: $11.00 - $18.00 per hour
